1. Sentence (വാക്യം) A sentence is a group of words. This group of words has complete meaning. ( പൂര്ണമായ അര്ത്ഥമുള്ള പദങ്ങളുടെ കൂട്ടം ആണ് വാക്യം.) Examples : a. Raju is a boy. ( രാജു ഒരു ആണ്കുട്ടിയാണ്.) b. The cow has four legs.( പശുവിന് നാലു കാലുകള് ഉണ്ട്.) c. Mary has two eyes. ( മേരിക്ക് രണ്ട് കണ്ണുകളുണ്ട്.) d. I have two arms. ( എനിക്ക് രണ്ട് കൈകളുണ്ട്.) e. My family lives in Delhi. ( എന്റെ കുടുംബം ഡല്ഹിയില് വസിക്കുന്നു.) When we write a sentence, it begins with a capital letter and ends with a full stop. 2. Phrase A phrase is a group of words. It has some meaning. But it does not have complete meaning. It does not have a full verb. But a sentence has a full verb. Examples of phrases a. in the sky ( ആകാശത്ത്) b. with my eyes ( എന്റെ കണ്ണുകള് കൊണ്ട്) c. all the children ( എല്ലാ കുട്ടികളും ) [Phrase - ന് അല്പം അര്ത്ഥം ഉണ്ട്, എന്നാല് പൂര്ണമായ അര്ത്ഥമില്ല.] 3.
